I have had good luck at that time working points near spawning flats. A 8" zoom lizard or crank bait work well. You can try the 3 fingers area and opossum creek.

By March the spawn will be complete, maybe a few straglers, but for the most part done. Lake will be in post spawn with bigger fish moving out deep to feed and heal up. You can still get a goo morning shallow bite and would try buzzers then migrate baits towards deeper water as the sun comes up. Med to deep Crankbaits and C-rig and t-rig baits are very good. When you look at the map think about where they should have been spawning and where they're gonna move to heal up. They will be in between those spots. Hope it helps. Right now its cold and trying some drop shot stuff..lol

You better leave that sissy tackle at home. There are plenty of trees on Choke, and the bass know how to use them. I don't use anything smaller than 15lb line on Choke. That's finess fishing down here.

A good color that time of year there is junebug. Those Lizards that William was talking about, I like to cut the top (just below the front legs) off and use it as a trailer on a 1/2oz jig. William makes a couplea colors with good purple in them that work well.

jigs on the main lake point above lake of 4 fingers, worms, lizards, 6" senkos on carolina rigs on the points of the 4 fingers area. Get a map and fish the various tank dams with a carolina or texas rigged 10" worm.

I dont fish anything below 20 lb there. The one day I was fishing 8 lb test and I hooked into a hog, and it was just too nerve racking. ask utinator
