    Auto Mode on LVS 34

Everything I've read online and on the manual says to put the unit in "auto" when changing transducer orientation. I still have to manually set it for the mode I'm operating in (down, forward, etc).
Can the unit tell what mode it's in? Using the SV 106 if that matters. Everything else seems to work great.

is the method you used to mount the transducer straight vertically and did you calibrate the transducer?

I don't use the auto mode. I always put it in the mode I'm using.

Yes the transducer will know what mode it's in and if unit is set to "auto" it will switch when changed. I keep mine in auto and swap ducer around as needed. It may take several seconds to recognize what mode but will change.

I mounted it on the trolling motor shaft, it appears to be straight and the I calibrated the transducer. Only been on the water once since I installed it. Will go through everything again when I get back out. Thanks.

Just and FYI, calibration is lost when you change it to Perspective mode.

I think AHRS has to be ON for it to detect position
