Sadly, I have to quit the club

It comes with great regret that I have to tell you that I will be revoking my membership to the "everydays a Saturday club". After retiring from the Air Force in November, I finally start my new job tomorrow morning. I received a much better job offer than expected. The original job was good but the hiring process was just taking too long. I received a phone call from the #2 guy in the company about a week ago and he conducted a telephone interview and hired me on the spot. I will now be a program manager overseeing military defense contracts. This is definitely a couple of steps above the quality engineer I originally was going after.

Skip, looks like you are the sole member of the Hewitt chapter again.

It was nice while it lasted...got to sleep late, take naps whenever I wanted, and go fishing whenever I wanted...gawd Im gonna miss that.

On the bright side, maybe theres a new boat in my future, probably not the near future but sometime in the future... got to get a new truck first.

Looks like you missed your nap today. You made a typo while pointing out a typo.

Where are you going to be working out of? Are you politely saying that having Skip as neighbor drove you back to work?

Don't think you could ask for any better neighbors as Skip and Martha are.

You are absolutely right, I couldnt have asked for better neighbors.

Martha keeps me busy with her little projects and Skip is good for his conversation and "old fart" humor...not to mention he gave me alot of guidance when I was considering retirement.

The least Skip could do for you is bring over breakfast and coffee for you each morning before you head out the door. And everyone once in awhile toss in a couple of Shipleys' doughnuts.
