Just got off the phone woth Bill. He had his surgery this morning and all went well. The hernia was larger than they had thought and while in there they found a secound one. All went well and he is back home being waited on. Right now he is sorta drugged out. Hopefully he will get back on here tomorrow. Get well Bill

The meds are working perfect, the Dr. had a medicine ball attached to the surgery site which pumps pain killer into the site. The hydrocodone is also working GREAT. I did make it through the surgery okay, and did retain all my male working parts. The hernia had grown considerably in size since the last check-up, and as Skip advised the Dr. discovered a second hernia in the area of the first. Both were successfully repaired. The Dr. had a steady hand which I am particularly thankful of. Went to sleep as Bill, and woke up as same. Would have been a shame to wake up as a Billie.

I am doing just fine today, the On-Q medicine ball is dispensing pain medicine into the incision site. The incision is approx 6" in length.

Was able to remove the On-Q medicine ball yesterday, the stint had skin starting to grow around it so it took a good tug to get it loose. Once it was removed, I was able to begin moving around a lot better. The incision is approx 6" in length which was a lot longer than the incision my son had from his hernia repair. Guess that is a result of them discovering I had a double hernia.
