    Water Pressure Relief R&R

I'm going to update my pressure relief valve to help address high operating temps at cruising speeds. Is there anything I need to be aware of that the manual won't tell me, i.e. use of sealant in particular areas? Also, it's time for my water pump impeller change. Is there anything I need to look for here? Thanks!

Miquel, I believe it's part #4 that you need to put some 3M adheiseve around the outside edge to keep water from bypassing that grommet. The gurus will confirm I hope. This was to keep temps up during Idle, sounds if you have a different problem, but I would do that while I had it down. Keep any adheisive off the seat where the poppet valve goes. The guys can help with your other problem....

What RPM are you having the problem?

3500-4000 RPMs with motor 3.5" below the pad. I have to let her eat to bring the temp down and I don't like doing that since fuel economy is a factor. Any thoughts?

Mike: Thanks for the tip. I heard apply sealant somewhere, but you clarified where. Thanks, fella!

Re: Water Pressure Relief R&R (MigAz)

The update kit with the new spring worked like a charm. I can now run at cruising speeds and the temperature is at approx. 165 degrees F.

Thanks for the help, guys! I appreciate it!

P.S. I have raw thumbs due excessive bass lipping. I must rest now.
