I fish one out of Post/Lubbock. We have people from Denver City, Plains and a few from New Mexico that fish with us. We fish Alan Henry soley, 1 tournament a month. The club is Green Pastures Bass Club.
Danny, welcome to BBC and the TBC. I'm sure there's a club around Midland. Might ask around at one of the boat dealerships or Academy. I know there's a pretty active bunch over at Big Spring. I believe they call temselves the Bassin' Bunch They host a benefit tournament every year at OH Ivie for the Special Olympics.
I also found a link to the Permian Bass Club over in Odessa.
Tournament Time is a good place to keep up with clubs and tournaments in the TX area.
Good luck and don't be a stranger.
Danny,
I am a non paid director for Sun Country bass.
It is a team tournament association with around 200 members. We have folks from Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland, El Paso, Del Rio, A lot from Western N.Mexico. A young team from Colo. Springs took second place at our championship last month.
We took Alan Henry off our schedule this year. It has gotten to be a hassle for a bigger tournament on such a small impoundment. That and it cost about 60.00
a boat in lake fees for a 3 day weekend.
If it sounds like something you might want to look into. go to suncountrybass.com
my phone # is listed on the directors page.
Thanks, Ill definitely look you up man, sounds cool!
Danny
Hey Mike,
Where is Ute Lake at in New Mexico, how far of a drive from Midland. Thanks
Danny
Danny, it's near Logan, NM. It's about 165 miles from Plainview, where I lived until the mid 90s. So that would make it about 300 or so from Midland. Love to fish it too!! Good smallie lake with a chance to get a walleye!! yum!

Danny, check out the Permian Bass Club. I think they are mostly from Odessa and Midland. They have a web site.
sounds like you got talked out of being a net man on the TTT trail. I say go for it, where else can you learn from the best for so little money.
