    Which Bunn?

I'm in the market for a new coffee brewer. I like the features of the Bunn models with the water stored in heated reservoir. That's why it makes good coffee, proper extraction temperature. Oh and Skip says it's the best

So which model do y'all have? I was looking a the thermal carafe model, but the site I use for coffee reviews http://www.coffeegeek.com has some not so favorable by the users there I trust most. Leaks alot it seems.

So, I can't figure out the difference in the other models except the styles are different.

    Help me out Bunn-heads!

I don't have a Bunn!! I had one in the past and it was a great coffee maker. I currently have a Cusiniart, that grinds the coffee just before brewing. I'll put fresh ground up against the hot water storage any day.

Plus, the grinder going off in the morning doubles as an alarm clock!!

I roast my own beans, then grind right before I brew. So the only thing I'm missing is pre-heated water.

I've tried just abotu every way to brew coffee, the vacuum pot is best, but messy and time consuming. There's an example on the coffeegeek site I think. Grind and drip-brew is the morning method for me. Vacpot when I want to have fun watching it brew.

I like that site Dave, I saved it. The Bunn I use is not there top model for home use but it work's fine for me. I make a full pot every morning. It's easy to get part's for them to. A little leak is easyly fixed with a small washer. All I will ever use is a Bunn. My next door nabor has the one with the thermal decantor. I personally don't care for it much. Mine stay's warmer on the warmer plate. The one I have fit's the space for it well. If you have room you might try one of the other model's.

One thing about the thermal pot, it sure is handy refilling your cup in the morning at the table, it is just right there without having to get up. At our house it never has a chance to get cold.

Man are y'all spoiled. I've had to put a cup in the microwave on more that one occasion. Get stuck working a night shift from time to time and the bride never remembers to re-set the pot to brew a fresh one for when I get up around noon. Please tell me you don't ruin your finely roasted beans with sweetener and cream...that would make it a latte' and I'm not associating with a bunch of pinky pointin' sippers.

Ok after much research on where to buy, I found out Foley's at the mall 1 mile away has the NHB model for $99. They don't open till 10 though. ARGH! I'm joining the Bunn-heads!

Hmm wait 8AM Target opens, they have the same NHB for the same price... Other side of 183 from the mall...
