I currently have Solix 15 G3 at console. I am going to switch to Helix 12s. Do I need new transducer for the Helix unit or I'd there an adapter cable. I currently have y cable for thru hull and transom mounted transducer.

Yes there is an adapter cable, same one that is used to adapt a Minnkota MDI or MSI to connect to a Helix==MKR-MI-1
