Can anyone tell me what is happening on the lake as far as this project goes?
Last time I was on thje lake they were still removing the silt bank of the river and had markers out in the big cove.

Bob, when you talk with them ask them about the rest of the lakes around South Carolina? They could pick a better lake to dredge, instead of that Mud Hole, he, he!

Well Fred I took your advice and drove over to the new landing. He makes dogs ALMOST as good as yours!!!!
Spent several hours fishing from the bank!!! Well almost. Spent most of my time putting new minnows on the wifes line, re-rigging after breaking off in the overhead tree. LOOK UP Cherrie!!!!!!!!!
As far as the dredging goes they are still in the river. Saw a picture of a 6#r caught up river on 12/31. Swimbait beyond the 183 bridge.
The dredge crew was there trying to get their motor running. They have rented the house at the landing for the next 8 months!! They are taking all of the silt out of the river plus the bank out to the big cove and will go down 8 feet. The mud island ouit in front of the old landing will be taken out and the depth also taken to 8 feet. According to Frank the new owner of the landing the water was muddy all the way to the water plant and then it started to clear but didn't ever get real clear. WT is hi 40s low 50s. Thats about it.
The NEW owner of the old landing is a real nice guy and the food is pretty good. There is a website for the landing http://www.saludalake landing.com.
It has the landing hours and lots of other info.
If you are near Greenville you should try it out. That lake has some wallhanger LMs in it as well as slab crappie.
