Its coming to Rocks Pond on August 6th & 7th! I've heard they will be charging $10 for a 2 day pass by land and if you come by boat it will be free. Also heard the fee is only to be able to pay the racers so that they can make it an anual event.

Sometimes I need my ATV when in my boat and sometimes I need my boat while riding my ATV.
The flyier and the Races at Rock's Pond are 2 seperate events and 2 different locations..

I use to watch them when I was a teenager out there with my dad. As far as the drunk fest heck I was in the locks Saturday coming down from the lake to the river and there must of been 25 boats in there and buddy they didn't miss a beat with the alcohol that was being consumed in there. I think you can get that crowd anywhere you go now a days.
Imagine the entire Saturday after 11am crowd from the river-- and the Wyboo/Potato Creek crowd all woo'in and playin bumper boats in front of Rocks Pond. Drag boats need slick water-- This should be good. Heck, its will give the DNR some income, MORE POWER To'um!! LOL

I just heard this week that the boat races have been canceled due to the grass in the lake.
