I don't know about the base but your right dab smack in the middle of some of the best fishing in the Southeast...Santee Cooper, Lake Murray and Lake Wateree are all within 45 minutes to an hour away....all 3 lakes are taking over 20 lbs to win the tournys lately....Santee is pushing 30 lbs...remember one word..SHALLOW....you can see some pics and results from this spring at http://www.catttrail.com
