Man I'm Impressed!!

Went to HKSP and got the grand tour, friendly staff, excellent restaurant, clean rooms and a great facility!! Got a quote on rooms for 3 days. A Thursday, Friday, Saturday night stay will cost $104. per man for all three nights. Less if you aren't staying Saturday night.
We ate lunch at the ON Site restaurant and talked to Miss Kathie (Restaurant manager) and here is a killer deal for Friday night dinner, They have a Seafood buffet for a group of 20 or more for $16.40 that includes all you can eat seafood, salad bar, desert bar, tax tip and Tea. Keep this in mind they will set up the back room for us for that price and we just set the time. Beer and wine are available at $2/bottle of beer both Bud and Miller products available and $3/glass of wine I didn't check the list but it ain't mad dog.

We have two dates available to get the rooms and I need to get the dates booked quickly. 5/13-5/15 or 6/24-6/26. I'll be working on getting sponsors online but need to get the dates booked. Remember this is a mini and not a blown out rally but I'd like to see it work out that way!

Clark Hill has some excellent top water bites in the spring.


If you decide to attend we can get lake front rooms booked. But alas I am a slacker and got us what we can.

Thursday night we can do the normal burgers and dogs, welcome to the rally deal.

Yep, +1 on the facilities/hospitality today. These folks were very accommodating and the recreation opportunities and scenery are great.
If you want to make a family outing of it, HK is more than a State Park--SC bills it as a SP Resort, w/ 18-hole golf course, skeet and archery ranges, tennis courts and pool/playground!

Boat docks, electrical hook-ups and superb May fishing. Pretty much self-contained, no need to leave the Park for lake access, no outside traffic to contend with.

Sit-down Restaurant Food service w/ seafood/homecooked buffets and steaks/chops menus. Rooms are clean, cable TV and smell nice. Good area adjacent to rooms for Registration/Outdoor Grilling, canopy set-up, fellowship.

Ya'll need to get in on this one!!

Our plans are to participate each day and drive back-n-forth since HKSP is only 20-30 minutes from the house and we got dogs to take care of ..... plus CK has a meeting Thursday night.

Not a problem Stephan! We are looking further down the road and have a bonafide Rally at the Hill. Sure beats driving to Guntersville . We need to keep 10 rooms booked to get the lake side rooms. Our rate per night is $67.84/night. Divide by two and you have a reasonable room rate. If you've never been to a rally you need to attend one. It is more having fun than fishing..But the fishing matters too,,,all about fellowship.
