MegaLive on Helix v Solix

I am getting a Mega Live and my boat currently is set up with all Helix units. I was debating either a Helix 15 or Solix 12 for the bow for the Mega Live. Is there a big difference between the two with respect to the ML? I’ve been happy with Mega 360 on the Helix units.

I'm an Apex/Solix guy but would suggest that you stay with all Helix. You loose data sharing capability when you mix Helix and Solix. The big negative for Helix with both Mega Live and Mega 360 is that you can't have both displayed on a single unit at the same time. You can do that on Apex and Solix with Custom Views but there is no Mega Live & Mega 360 combo view on the Helix... Unless Humminbird decides to add one on a later release.

I just transferred over to Solix and gave my son my Helix units. Mega live looks the same on both. However, Mega 360 and side imaging look better on the Solix from what I can tell so far.

Also, I forgot to say that the current generation of 12 & 15 Helix have the exact same resolution as the 12 & 15 inch Solix. That hasn't always been the case. The older Helix units had a lower resolution as do the current smaller Helix units. The Apex units have the highest Full HD resolution.
