Coming to the Nashville area Tuesday!!!

I have a 2 and 5 year old that need entertained while we are there. We have a few things lined up but nothing major other than maybe the zoo. We will be staying till Saturday. This is our scouting trip for relocation to the Mt. Juliet area also.

We've put in a pile of resumes and applications in the last couple of weeks and hope to hear something soon on at least a couple of them. Good news today also. We had an open house and a couple will be sending over a contract for us to look at tomorrrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, let me know if you have any places of interest for me to visit. BTW, we are staying at the Country Inn and Suites in Lebanon just off I-40. We will have internet access so I'll check in all week. Thanks guys and gals....see you soon!

Lebanon has the Don Fox community park http://www.lebanontn.org/depar....aspx that has a nice playground and a wading pool that the little ones enjoy. Take Hwy 231 north past the Lebanon square, turn left onto Baddour Parkway, continue about 1.5 miles, park is on right.

(edited - sorry, drove past the partk today. The kiddie pool aint open yet )

There is also the Jimmy Floyd public recreation complex nearby http://www.lebanontn.org/depar....aspx that has a large pool for the family and a snack stand for hot dogs and such.

Good luck in the job search!!

I live in Providence in Mt. Juliet. Awesome place to live with young kids. Great, great public elementary school. Good luck on your visit.

You'll like it here. I relocated here just under 2 yrs. ago. Mt. Juliet area as you are already aware is right between Old Hickory and Percy Priest and a growing community. I ended up in Murfreesboro still fairly close to P. Priest. Good luck on the job search.

There's also the Nashville Zoo and it's a pretty good little zoo for the kids. If you're in lebanon it's probably 25-30 minutes away.

We are here!!! It was a long trip but should be well worth it. Time to kick back and relax a bit before heading out to do anything. If you see a silver Explorer with Va tags a Liberty University decal in the back window please don't hit us, mug us, or call us bad names.....just say hi.

If you get bored over in Mt. Juliet have your realtor bring you over to Exit 11 in Clarksville to look at my digs. We have it priced RIGHT as the Mrs started her new job two months ago. 35-40 mins to anywhere in Nashvile including the Airport. Just an idea. Enjoy your stay in Nashville....excuse the flood mess around the Cumberland, we'll have it cleaned up soon!

Re: Coming to the Nashville area Tuesday!!! (JohnM)

Well guys, it looks like my time here in TN is about up.
My wife and I now believe this is one of the most beautiful areas we have ever visited and look forward to our move to this lovely area! (we all enjoyed things like the Don Fox park in Lebanon...it was beautiful and fun!) We are without a doubt going to be trying every possible way to make this move. Mount Juliet seems to have unlimited potential for work, play, housing, schools and down home southern hospitality!
We absolutely LOVE the way a lot of the communities are set up down here with the community centers and each of them having their own identity. This is something you do not find back in our area in Va.
We talked to a couple of different homebuilders and have liked quite a bit of the offers they have laid out on the table.
BTW, the housing here is freakin' CHEAP!!!!!!!! I can't wait to spend the same mortgage payment and get twice the house!!!!

Once again, you guys are are living in one spectacular area! Myself, my wife and my kids have enjoyed our stay here and are all sad to have to go back home. My wife and I are already planning on possibly coming down without the kids in July and digging a little deeper into the area.

EDIT: Nashville has got to be one amazing city! We were downtown for an afternoon and other than the exposed water lines, you could not tell it had ever flooded. I forgot how high the city was "normally" above the river and it's insane how much it had to rise to flood things! Oh yeah, the kids loved the science museum in N'ville too!
