Hi Mate, LN and I ran one a few weeks ago in Sydney and as with all E-TEC, it started great(even on the rewind starter-it was a forward steer/power trim version), sounded quiet and well put together, will be great on fuel (BRP told us that you are looking at about 5 hours on 1L of fuel at idle) and most importantly it went very well. It was on the back of a 4.2M alloy runabout and with 4 adults weighing from 80-120KG the 30HP got the boat on the plane and moving nicely. We have been selling similar sized boats with the 30HP Johnuki, and they are a nice engine, but trust me there is not way any 30HP 4-Stroke would of got this load on the plane like the E-TEC did.
What I have been told is that delivery to OZ is about mid December and RRP price range from $5,200 to $6,600 depending on HP and features. Street price will be cheaper as always ( I would love to sell at RRP).
Ring your local E-TEC dealer and get one because the demand is outstripping the numbers coming and I think it will be a while till you can just easily order one and have it in stock.
Cheers,
Huey.
Here is a short video. Terrific motor. VERY VERY powerful with heaps of incredible features.

Thanks for that Huey & LN, a bit longer video would be nice with a look under the covers and running WOT and trawling speed.
