    Trout fishing in Gatlinburg

Going to be in G'burg next week Mon-Wed for a meeting, and I'm bringing a spinning reel, etc. to try and catch some trout when I have some free times. Anybody got suggestions on a good area to start in? I have the G'burg trout fishing pamplet that shows all the areas, regulations, etc, but will have limited time so I am looking for the best area to start in. Thanks for any help.

The bridge as you turn off the main drag to go to Ober Gatlinburg. Supposedly they release them close to that area. I caught about 6 on small rooster tails before I found out you weren't allowed to use trebles.......Good luck

If you want some smallmouth, fish the river off of Hwy66 in Sevierville.

this may be a little late, but if you get it..

buy you some minnow and a bucket. go downtown around all the buildings. fish all the holes you can. usually a popular thing to do with locals though.

Too early for that...can't use bait until March.

I have a friend that is a guide up there on the weekends. He works in Brentwood during the week, has a cabin on the weekends. I'm sure he can get you someone during the week if needed. Drop me an IM if you are interested in his information.
