They didn't have the Cadillac option with mine either....![]()
OK here here it is: Yep it's black. Never would have guessed???![]()
How much Tahoe foreplay at the dealership before the Kama Sutra EccoBoost event? What did you get with the truck (see info below)???
Here is the one I ordered. Takes a few months, but it's worth getting what you want and not what they have. It has 10K miles on it now. *I peeled those cheezy 4X4 stickers off the 1st day and put a set of Lund running boards (fully enclosed) on for the wife so she doesn't have to get a running start....![]()
Info:
2011 F150 EccoBoost / extended cab / long bed (not a grocery hauler) / XLT / 3.73 gears / 4X4 / carpet delete / HD tow package (tows 11,200 lbs - built in KC with SuperDuty frame/axles etc..) / Line-X / Leer Shell / back up camera / Ford SYNC / remote start / console with captains chairs.
Pulls my full size 50 HP Ford New Holland tractor w/FEL on a 26' beaver tail with the brush hog and tiller on deck at 75 mph on cruise without tow/haul mode. And it does it about as well as my previous Super Duty for allot less fuel $$$$$.

Get with me and I'll get one for you.

Your set up sounds stupid nice though! Next time I know which way to go....
I can't complain one bit about it...
Spinning the entire way through first gear into second doesn't sound too bad...
Twin Turbo's aren't that bad on a pick up though are they???![]()
You guys need to quit with the Ford talk...honestly though, those are some good looking trucks! If i was going to own a gas motor it would most likely be one of these.

I sold my diesel Super Duty to get the EcoBoost. I have had diesels for the past 4 trucks and didn't think I would ever switch. BUT!
Crude is listed in 50 gallon barrels for refinement purposes.
Out of a barrel of crude the following is obtained via refinement and additives:
23 gal of gasoline
13 gal of diesel
7 gal of Jet A and fuel oil
2 gal of propane
8 gal of lube oil and plastic base
Diesel has been more expensive than gas since Aug 2009. With 13 gal derived from a barrel and the additional processing required for ULSD (ultra low sulfur diesel), the cost per gallon is averaging 60-80 cents more than gasoline. This is only going to escalate based on the oil companies over seas market exports. *One of the main reasons for the US pricing besides the additional refining processes is that both China and Europe both have extensive requirements for diesel fuel that exceed our demand by 30%. The oil companies are sending US produced diesel to them at over twice the cost of ours (more profit for Exxon) and that is also reducing stateside fuel reserves. Diesel in these countries is $6-9 dollars a gallon at the pump.
This EcoBoost pulls just as good as my SD did. Need to try one!

Mike I have never had a Diesel, I pulled with the Tahoe, and before that with the Range Rover... with the Range Rover pulling better than the Tahoe due to the fact that it was 24/7 All Wheel Drive with the addition of the SuperCharger. Never once spun up the ramp in ice cold conditions. It's only downfall was that it took premium and it went through gas like I had ex-lax in the fuel tank. That being said I pulled the rig with the f150/ecoboost combo a couple days ago hands down definitely blows the prior two away... and then the whistle of the ecoboost almost makes you believe you have a diesel under the hood....
Definitely a ride to try!
I agree with everything you say Mike...my father makes his own Bio-Diesel... 7.5 cents a gallon. When SHTF, i will still be running. I have nothing against gas motors. I just love my diesels !
But i honestly believe these ecoboost motors are one of the best gas motors to come out in a long time ! I have not had the chance to drive one yet.
Need to go drive one when you get a chance. Pretty amazing.
I even looked at the new SD's and couldn't see how you could even get your hand into the engine compartment! They had so much junk in there the underside of the hood would never get dirty...![]()
I owned a 2000 F-350 Power Stroke. Ill never own another...
I have a 2007 5.9l cummins now, best truck ive ever owned !

Very interesting facts. Thank you

Might be, but CRUDE is traded @ 38 gallons a barrel.
Just saying.
