    Winter time snakeheads

Does anyone know what the snakehead pattern is during the winter time? Do they stay shallow during winter? Also any key baits to use during winter to catch them? Will be fishing either leeslyvania or aquia.

    Thanks for the help.

I was wondering the same thing. I know how to get those freaks in the summer but have not fished them in the cold yet.

    Re: Winter time snakeheads (goose)

I fished today over by Tyme and Tide and they were everywhere. You could see them moving like torpedoes in the water. Caught this one on a Chatterbait. When this one was hooked, another was following it to the boat. 7.5 lbs

It's a marina between Neabsco and Belmont Bay.

That's right, the area has a flat by some houses with piers with sparse grass about 2-4 feet depending on tide. Lips grippers are almost a must when fishing the Potomac nowadays.

It's in Occaquan Bay, near Marumsco (sp?) Creek.

Did you release that one on your grill?

I spend a fair amount of time on the river and I have not caught a head in two years.
