28 boats, count em, 28 in acquapo Sunday....it was more fun to watch the people try and fish in that mess then actually fish. If I was one to drink beer when on a baot, that would have been the time to do it!

BTW get there early to get your stake. That way as the fish replenish themselves throughout the day you can be in the spot!

I did hear they are really catching them in Nanjemoy too.....something about the grass and temp is the best there it has ever been??

Me, I will stick to main river docks throwing a chatterbait, they are producing BIG time this year!

You are right when it comes to flies on poop on the Potomac..Can anyone tell me why the MD/VA fishermen are so ignorant when they fish the Potomac..As big as that river is why do people feel compelled to fish right on top of you, around you and thru you on this river...Tournaments need to go back to a 50ft rule (minimum) on this river..

I actually enjoy a little of the Potomac family time once in awhile. Normally after you whack a few beside them they go away. But then you have the guys cruising around fishing the bent rod pattern which are a favorite of mine. I guess it has the opposite effect on me?? I know even if they tied the boat up, I handed them my rod, offer them half of my sandwich and a drink, and tell them exactly what they need to do, they still can't beat me at my own game. Shame is a powerful tool.

We had a little of that Sunday with us pulling fish in the guys trolling motor wake. After both of us laughing every time we caught one and conducting "fish on parade" across the back deck he and his fishless buddy left. Works every time and only one of us gets pissed off!

I hate fishing in that bumper boat stuff there's other spots that hold good fish that you can find. If you know how it find them.

I have a set of those - two the plastic clips broke in one season. I went back to the style with the wire snaps.

Been using those ropes/clips for 3 years now and no issues. Carlos had his way before me. Just need to make sure you get the clip snapped inside the lower jaw indent and they stay put. You can even hold the fish up by them... Oh yea, you saw that
