How is the water quality near Mattawoman (Algae Blooms???)

I wanted to head down to Mattawoman later in the month (after these next set of storms pass). I've heard a great deal about the algae blooms this year but have not seen it myself. I'm just wondering what everyone's view is on the topic.

Is it mostly in the mouth of Mattawoman or is in also up in the creek (6 mph) section? Would my boat get mucked up going over to Leesylvania, etc...?

    Thanks......

Most of the algae I've seen there recently were primarily at the mouth of Mattawoman. Now that Algae could travel further up into the creek by the end of the month, or it could travel upriver. From what I know, I don't think it has gone as far up as Leesylvania.

No algea yesterday! Rain may have knocked it down. River was in pretty good shape for the rain we had. If i didn't know we had the big storms i wouldn't have really noticed.
