    Take a Texan Fishin'

    Gentlemen,

I'll be doing some promotional work for Dick's Sporting Goods in the Baltimore/DC area for two weekends starting in a few weeks. Would love to get out and see some of your beautiful waterways. And river fishing would be a plus as I don't have a lot of experience at that.

Only challenge is I have Monday thru Wednesday off so would need to meet up with someone fortunate enough to get out during the week. I'm handy with a stick and will pay expenses.

Call me to discuss as we start work here in Pittsburgh and will be stupid busy till Monday. Leave me a message and I'll gratefully return the call.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim

    ONE of Gunny's big fish

    My 7 lber

They say everything's bigger in Texas

Seriously, Gunny put together about 19 lbs. Not only was he a good fisherman but he was probably a better host to a complete stranger. Had a great time and learned a little about tidal fishing. Godspeed to ya Gunny

Re: Take a Texan Fishin' (goose)

    Goose,

I grew up under those same powerlines and share that same hairline. That's why I wear that goofy hat - my ears and nose have thanked me since. I did notice he didn't horse around very much with those fish he caught - I "Bill Danced" mine a little but then again I only caught two. I'd scream front-ender if that was the case but he was truly a gentlemen. It was a fun day and the fish even cooperated - the weather was just a little, well, hot. We even met James Charlesworth at the boat ramp pre-fishing for the upcoming Elite event.

Re: Take a Texan Fishin' (EJP)

I don't hide anything, if someone wants info from me all they have to do is call. I don't play that "It's my spot get out of it, chit"!! I hate that more then anything!! If your a good fisherman you can still catch fish anywhere!!

And on the river I can, so giving away spots or areas dosen't bother me at all.

Re: Take a Texan Fishin' (Carlos H)

You Potomac guys are alright!! First Gunny then you, Carlos H. We never found the "Potomac monster" but we caught lots of good healthy ones all day long. I promise not to tell anyone that we caught them on white spinnerbaits

Beautiful fishery ya'll have and if you two are any indication, surrounded by great people as well.

    God Bless you both!!
