200 to 250 Ficht conversion?

I have a 2000 200hp Ficht. Modle#RE200FLSSH Serial#G04864098

I found a 2003 250 Ficht powerhead. Are these compatible? Is this a direct bolt on?

Wait a minute,

Are you talking about wanting to bolt on a completely dressed powerhead engine
assembiy with all the electrics, wiring, injectors, flywheel, filter, linkage, fuel pumps, EMM, throttle bodies, air box, etc. included?

...Or are you wanting to just transfer your 2000 year motor parts to a newer cylinder block?


You may have some interference problems with the lower motor covers in the shift linkage area if you put a newer complete powerhead on your 2000 engine, plus the powerhead gaskets are a different number.

I found two motors with all working parts except lower units. One is a 2003 250hp ficht the other is a 2002 225hp ficht. I just want more power and was looking into these as options.

I looked into used evinrudes, but it seemed too expensive, thought maybe the powerhead angle was the way to go.

My stratos is rated up to 250 and i'm trying to look into my options for more power.
