    2008 Z21 blinking led keypad

I have the interior light led button blinking on the touch pad, it blinks immediately upon resetting the pad and after unplugging the battery for hours. Once a connect the power and the interior light starts blinking then the stop button starts blinking as well. Icannot find a short, systematically unplugged every circuit and replugged it back in place one at time. Checked voltage on the battery. And one more thing the interior lights are on during this whole issue, they will not go off until power is removed. Thanks

If the circuit causes a breaker to throw, it is indicated by a flashing LED. The LED corresponding to the thrown breaker will flash by its switch along with the stop LED. If the stop LED is the only LED flashing, one of the un-switched outputs (trim, 12V, radio, auto bilge float switch, electronics, or key on engine hot) has thrown a breaker. To reset the breaker, press the switch leaving it held in for five seconds. If the light remains flashing there is a direct short present. If the light stops flashing, the breaker has been reset.

If this doesn’t work, try pressing the Stop switch and hold for 5-10 seconds.

I think ive narrowed the problem to the power block under the console, anyone have a pic of the wiring at the block?

Please start your own thread, Mr. Brewer, so that you do not confuse responders by mixing your questions with the OP’s.

Hello John I was asking a question that I thought was very similar to the OPs original question and might help him and the rest of us troubleshoot this very common issue. My apologies if it came across as hyjacking Maybe this issue which affects many of us should be made a sticky “how to troubleshoot the keypad blinking light” just a thought

There are two pinned threads in Maintenance Tips and Tricks that address blinking keypad. If those aren’t sufficiently explanatory of a particular issue, please start a new thread with your question/s [or call a dealer].

Just got the boat back today, it was the computer and keypad. 1375.00 later, no blinking lights and everything works.

I trying holding the stop button for 5, then 10, then 15 seconds and nothing reset.
Everything else is working fine on the boat, fishing in a tournament over the weekend with no issues will get it fixed in the fall.
