Anyone live in or near the Owasso area? Moved here about a month ago from Louisiana and looking for places to fish. Skiatook lake is about 20 min from my house but I've heard its a tough lake to fish.

don't underestimate the lake, it is a tough fishery, but if you put a line in the water you might be surprised. There are some good quality fish in the lake. G' luck, Josh

there should be some smallmouth action right now on skiatook, oolagah is close to you be careful in the wind,hudson and grand and gibson are close and tremendous fisheries.

I've had some real good luck at Skiatook in mid-march. Smallmouths should be up shallow and will smash a crankbait. Fish the chunk rock banks on the lower end of the lake.
