We are considering a first trip to Lake of the Cherokees. I have tried to find some information on the lake but have found mixed information with regards to fishing. We are thinking about late march or anytime in april.
Can anyone give me any advise on fishing the lake (bass), good place to stay, good area of lake to fish, is fishing good on this lake? Its either here or Bull Shoals. Any advice would be very helpful.

Grand Lake is one of Oklahoma's premier bass lakes. In any of the big tourneys on the lake it is not uncommon to have 4 or 5 - 20lb + bags weighed. That time you mentioned you should be able to catch fish just about anywhere on the lake you want to try. There are several motels in Grove.

you can rent a cabin, a slip for the boat, they have a resturant and they are good folks. i have a friend that comes in every year from colo. and spends a few days up there. they love the place.. its also located in the mouth of horse creek which has some great fishin. i go up and fish grand those few days with them then we come back down here to my middle class lake for the rest of the week

I'll second everything already said. I have a place on Grand and am very familiar with the area and would say Indian Hills is a nice, clean, friendly place as well. I wish I could give you a few tips on where to fish, but I am new to fishing. (bought a fishing boat about 3 weeks ago)
