so how did you boys do ?I had one dang fish 2.78, and was in the money when i weighed.....i ended up 6 holes out

Legend for me on Sat. in the 40 mph wind. 3 fish @ 5.96. Good enough for 25th. Paid gas money and motel bill. Glad to have it at the time. Well over 100 0's. I am on the tournament staff for the Legend tourn. and one of the things I didn't understand were the lack of smallmouth weighed in. Every year at this time there are lots of smallies weighed. This year there were three total smallmouth weighed. I wonder what the deal was with that.

i was prefishing sunday for the his and hers the 10/11 and there were boats everywhere i managed to tail hook a carp about 8-10lbs with a rattle trap and was getting ready to paddle whip him when he finally ripped the hook out of his tail i thought i had hooked one of those smallies the water is not quite warm enough yet it was 47-51 in porum and 46 and below in belle starr and its alot more stained this year than it has been the past couple years i think it will be rockin the next two weekends i saw alot of char/ spinnerbaits flying around and roques everywhere i didnt throw a jig or any plastics

you was tuff with 3 fish on the gar hole,i think that the smallies are way overrated on that lake.....all the tourneys went there hoping to be a smallie bite and the lake showed its usual self ...its a gar hole in my book......i bet grand it would have been a different story....Now if we could get the state to let them put the smallies in grand you talk about a pond! I think everything at the gar hole was laying on the bottom puking..........

gmabler4 i throwed a jig alot but all the fish appeared to be suspended on the graph.....the one i caught was on a screamin eagle blade slow rolled,

Chuck, while Eufaula is not my favorite I still think it is a good fishery. I also would rather have been at Grand. My partner and I got 8 bites (and caught 8 fish) in the two days we fished. 6 of those bites on a jig and 2 on a spinnerbait. Fishing was tough and sound like it was even tougher on Sunday.

We caught one keeper in two days. A whopping 15"er, it was on a jig in Porium.

It still took over 19 to win. I like the lake, it was just a bad weekend. GRAND is a gar hole lol. Fishing it this weekend as a co me thinks time for the little brown eakins jig and shack head.
