    Texoma Help

Going down there towards the end of the month to the north end, any good areas for bass? Had some decent luck last year with the water levels down. WIth all this rain, was wondering if it is affecting the lake level. Plan on fishing in the creek feeders and possibly around the docks in Catfish Bay. ANy help would be appreciated. As always, I will do some striper fishing too.

    Re: Texoma Help (Wheels)

Been a couple of weeks since I have fished for the stripers, but my friend tells me they are still catching them between Alberta Creek and Caney Creek. They have been trolling the river channel with a sassy shad type bait between 30 and 35 ft. Another client who has a cabin at Little Glasses says they have been fishing the Roosevelt bridge at night using a tight line and live shad. Says you have to catch the shad, there are none in the bait shops. The fish they are catching are big...over ten (10) pounds.

When I talked to my other friend Charles that lives at Bridgeview, he said he hadn't gotten a chance to go, so don't know what the bass fishing is like.

A friend who fishs the Arbuckle thursday night tourney said that last week a little over 5 lbs won their tourney, so it sounds like the bite is slow there.

I fished Konawa for a couple of hours Saturady evening. Just about the time I would expect the bite to start my wife called and needed for me to come home. Damn cell phone!!! When I launched at 4:30 PM I was the only rig at the ramp.

Good luck!!! Please post a "Fishing Report" when you get back...getting lonely over in the Oklahoma Forum. If the Arkansas moderator hadn't posted his Eufaula report I wouldn't have a report since the first of the month.

    Re: Texoma Help (sooner fish)

Went to Wes Watkins over the fourth and caught some nice fish up until about 11 am then the jet skiers came out and the bite went off. Caught one that went over 6 lbs on the road bed. Wife caught several in the trees on a chartruese Bandit. We just got the computer hooked up at the new house last weekend so I'll be back to posting new reports.

I am going to be there the 28th to the 31st. We plan to fish the bridge SF is talking about at night for stripers. We always have god luck there with minnows at night. We caught 25 in one night this time last year. We'll be cruising the creeks during the day. Just look for the ranger with the little stickerhead running the TM

Well I'll see you down there. I'll be north of the Hwy 70 bridge mainly.

Probably will. We are staying around Catfish bay. Oh yeah, I bought the LMS 332c head unit and will be networking them this weekend
