    Anyone get bit this weekend?

I haven't been out in so long I'm not sure I can still back the boat down the ramp! Anyhow, anyone out there getting bit in this heat? I talked to a couple guys around the Eaton area who said Brookville has been treating them well. They didn't give up much info though. They have 11 lbs+ in the Wednesday evening tourny there this week.

Hope you all are getting them!

I had one of the worst weekends for fishing in a LONG time! I fished the NBAA Tx at Chilo (Ohio river) and we had 1 keeper and my partner caught it. Then Sunday I went up to Indian lake and caught 2 keepers all day. I NEED to catch fish sometime soon before I go nuts!

hmmm....I think I found the problem...ever since you profoundly claimed the steelers suck, you have not been catching fish, I wonder......

So just talking about a bad team can make you fish worst? Man I am glad I didnt say anything about the Browns .....I wouldn't have even caught a short fish!

First, ocho lover, you are not talking about just any team , YOU are talking about the only team to win back to back SB's twice, the first team to win 4 SB's, the Team of the 70's and the ONLY team to win six SB's....what a resume

You nee some more stats, cuz I got them all memorized.

Yes, there are repercussions for your criticism, as you well know by now. Coincidence? I think not.

Re: Anyone get bit this weekend? (200xp)

The 70's man was not even around in the 70's! Typical Steelers fan living in the past. Could you even watch the game in the 70's? Was it in black in white or did you just have to listen to the radio?

I really hope this does not effect my fish catching this weekend. I am heading down to Jet-A and getting a 8" Atlas JP put on and then spending some time on Ky lake Sat and Sun. Then heading back up to the no bass state of Ohio.

No, I didnt have to listen to them on the radio, and yes, I remember watching the games on black&white TV's.

KY lake eh? enjoy that trip and I am sure you will catch plenty of fishies. And, despite swerves constant claims of running out of room, you will be able to get a good run with the new JP and see what she will do.

Re: Anyone get bit this weekend? (200xp)

This weekend was TOUGH.....seemed like the bass in my area were suffering from some serious lockjaw. We managed four dinks in a tourney on Sunday...but our big fish bite was gone thanks to some weed control efforts....what are ya gonna do though. I am hoping things pick back up REAL soon....or I might have to go to KY lake also!!!! lol

BTW....I was a Steelers fan when I was a little kid....the Bradshaw era. Now I think I am getting all of the bad karma back from that!! lol I can't believe my Dad didn't beat me for that!!! LOL!!!! Go Browns!!!!!!! (all in good fun of course)

Had a 12lb limit last night at Brookville. Must have been fun fishing because I can't do that in a tournament........... Did have a really nice 18 1/2 inch smallie, and a 18 inch smallie in the limit.

I don't know what I would do with 17# in the box. I need a box first, that is next years purchase.

What is the key to fishing Brookville this time of year? Night? Deep? Shallow? Retreads?

When it gets real hot out say middle of june to the end of aug. I fish at night to avoid the heat. I work em deep and work my way shallow until I get on them.

Sounds like Brookville really is the place to catch them....who would have thought that! Used to be affectionatley referred to as the Dead Sea around here. Good to hear of some good bags being caught!

As for the Steelers, I had a friend of mine offer me Browns/Steelers tix for Jan 2 in Cleveland (he is a season ticket owner for Cleveland). Tells you how bad the Browns are when a season ticket owner is handing them out for one of the best league games all year! As for the Bungals, they will be fighting amongst themselves so bad by middle of the season, no way Carson can throw enough passes to keep both TO and CO happy.

browns could win the last game...steelers will be resting the starters to get ready for the playoffs.
