Fontana Lake, NC

Hi guys, I'm coming to the smokies on vacation June or July. I would like to fish Lake Fontana, Nc. for smallies, but just want to unwind and fish. Got any tips, I know the lake is clear. Thanks for any info. Mac

I've heard Lake James is decent. Where in the Smokies? Is Watauga over in TN too far?? It's good for smallies too.

deep deep deep and deeper. It is a very deep lake very beautiful but very deep . Water goes up and down allot
