    Throttle should not have been able to move in neutral without the detent release button being depressed.

    My F series Yamaha on my tritoon doesn't have a button release for throttle. Electronic shift or something they call it.

    That has been the least of my concerns in a few of my boats. I had one that would start in gear. That was fun and left us with life long stories.
