Trying to loose some weight-1999 EFI Cowl

What if any low cost, (no carbon fiber) cowls options are there in trying to loose some weight on this 99 EFI cowl, Fiberglass and very heavy ! Any other plastic top cowls interchange with the existing 99 EFI lower cowl mounts ?

    Thank you
    Gary

Optimax cowl on a 2006 150hp EFI...perfect fit and a fraction of the weight, no modification required as both latches are the same.

I'm glad it helped. The cowl was off a 2007 175hp Optimax.

Here's a link to my post awhile back

not to hijack the thread, so on the 200efi 2002 model the opti cowlings of the same year or aprox year will work?

As long as they're of the same HP range as JOE54 has mentioned above.

No need to change the lower cowl as the top one just goes straight on.
