    Question...

I'm almost done "figuring" and have a question. Does the "mini club" have to be a team event?

How about each person pays $$ and fishes against the other person in the boat? This way a single person in his own boat can still fish and compete.

    What say you?

In all of the tournaments I have fished ( a total of 3 in 60+ years ) two of them were this type. I had a great partner, I was the non-boater. I heard of many guys having NO chance in this situation.. After all, as a boater you are competing with the guy in the back, so make sure at least one of your competitors can't score by putting him where he never has a chance. Not my issue when I did it, as my boater is also a good friend and was most interested in me catching as well. But I think I am in the minority in this instance. Most boaters would cut their mom's throat if they thought they might get outfished and loose to the guy in the back.

Also, there has been at least one occasion where I got my head removed for suggesting I bring my two sons to an outing. Had we come, I doubt we would have wanted to all fish against each other. I'd hate to get outfished by family....

I do like the idea of one guy being able to come and fish w/o anybody in the boat. At least one of the min's was based on a per/boat fee, and I think that is not a bad idea. 5$/boat sounds like a good number..

Oh by the way, I've signed up to fish *two* tournaments this year!! I have to pay $$ to fish. What a news break.

I like the team tournament format better, but making it an individual tournament format will make it more challenging.

sure hope you don't come up with " let's put names in a hat and draw partners. " idea. will be my last post on this Mini Club deal, Ya'll can quit now, just go back to the way Tom did the " Mini's " post a time , date, & lake. put your money in and fish. at weigh in take a vote for the next lake and time. if you don't fish the Mini, than you don't have a say in what the rest of us do. none of this two or three days later and revote crap here on the BBC.

I agree with you Mike I would not want to see a draw partner format. These are events that Dad and I like to fish together. However, I do like having the layout in advance you can make plans to make if you want.

Not really, If I recall the last one Tom had at Badin, we had about 8 to 10 boats, everybody said they had a great time and couldn't wait for the next Mini. Oh ! that's right, some of ya'll didn't make that one. That's when some things were said and some changes were made on this board, regardless what the majority had already voted on that day at Badin.
