Merrimack River

Hi All-

I just got a call from my neighbor. His dock was washed away down the Merrimack. We pulled it out of the water last fall and dragged it up the bank and tied it off in his yard. He got up this morning and it was gone. Fortunatley, we located it about 300 yards down river hung up in a tree. I'm about to go out and help retreive it. Well actually, we are going to tie a cable on it and secure it where it is. Thankfully it's accessable through another neighbors back yard.

This should be fun......

If it's not in danger of going any further downstream, I'm not sure I'd take that sort of chance until the water goes down. That stuff has some awesome power!!!!

After closer inspection, we both realized that the dock stuck in the tree was not his. We did not even drop the boat in the water. That river is just too high and running too fast. Better safe than sorry.
