is there any tricks to removing this lower unit? Any tips disconnecting the shift linkage? Going to do a water pump kit on it and have heard the linkage is a pain to connect/disconnect..

Does anyone know if there is a bolt and a clip to remove for the linkage on this motor or is it just a bolt?
You need to remove the hair pin clip on the bottom right side of the linkage, and remove the cotter pin on the linkage arm itself. push the lower rod to the left and the pin will disengage from the shift rod.
