Transom Wire to console

It is not easy trying to snake transom transducer wire to console . Very tight fit.Tried to use previously wire to pull it through ,kept getting separated.PITA ! (tracker 175PT)2001)

Take the rigging cover off? Just ran a MSI ducer cable, 10mins

I have a cover on starboard side that runs from throttle control to back of boat. I'll try and get a photo later.

Was trying to use the old existing transducer wire that was there , kept getting caught possibly in steering cable , etc. Did unscrew control cover . Will try again later today with a "snake " .

There should be a carpeted piece of aluminum that runs along the starboard side of the back deck that covers the wires and control cables. Mine was easily removed with a Phillips head screwdriver, just gotta find the screw heads in the carpet.

From back of seat to motor is all deck . The only piece that is movable is at the motor control .

So, if you were in the driver seat of your boat. And you look over you right shoulder and look at the gunnel. You should not be able to see the Versatrack. It should be covered by the aluminum plate that T2Tracker is describing. Remove that.

I just noticed you have an 2001... I cant say I am familiar with that era, so if its not there I apologize.

So how does the existing cable run now?

Wire no longer exist. it was from console to transom. Used an electrician's wire snake . Worked wonders. All set.
