    Apparently Pickwick is on FIRE

Got word last night of a 12lber caught.......add that to it taking 28 pounds to win Sat. and you got one hot bite.

On a side note....23 pounds won't even get you in the money.

Good friend of mine using my rigs and jig heads weighed in 24 pounds in the tournament you are talking about and only came in 5th place.

Re: Apparently Pickwick is on FIRE (Joey Watts)

Had over 29lbs Saturday. Shouldve fished the tourney I guess. Wasn't even gonna go lookin at the forcast. After my bud and I talked Friday night, we decided we would go anyway. Glad we did. Absolutely a trip of a lifetime. I have never come close to a string like that at PW and might not ever again. 61 fish total and we didn't get a bite til 10:30. Guess what I'm doing this coming Saturday!

Re: Apparently Pickwick is on FIRE (ep72)

Eric, just not holding your pecker right my friend. Had friends of mine up there Friday WACKING them also.

Was going to head up there Wednesday and Thursday myself but looks like I am gonna have to cancel that little mini vacation. Today being a holiday kind of screwed me a little. Have invoices laying here for 80 rigs and waiting on a big order that was suppose to arrive today. NOT A VERY HAPPY CAMPER right about now. Need to take care of these orders first though and evan more so with 2 of these orders being Store Orders. Will be my first ones going into stores with my New Packaging along with Labels !!!

I wish Sportsmans Warehouse would carry all your stuff. I saw John over there a week or two ago selling them rigs out of a plastic bag! I told him to tell that boy to get some labels on them things. He said you was too busy makin the rigs themselves to make some labels. I'm glad they sell em though, ought to keep you busy. Hope that works out well for ya. Oh yeah, I might be getting with you soon Joey to get some jigs made.

    Re: (B_Thompson)

I know and am glad to have the work. Have seen both sides of the fence and will take this side any time.

John was right and have been to busy but am glad to have the packaging over with. Cost a little more but decided to use Clam Shells as my packaging and will be printing my own inserts. Will post a picture of what my first packaged product looks like later this week.

Had a guy call me a little bit ago that won a little Fruit Jar up at Pickwick Saturday with 18 pounds on my rigs and jig heads. Asked me what kind of paint I was using. Said he could not hardly beat the paint off the heads on my Skooly Rigs. Told him it was TOP SECRET !!! Ordered 6 more of them along with several 5 packs of the jig heads. Guess he made a believer out of some of his buddies in the club.

Give me a shout once you get ready for the jigs. Would be my pleasure to get some built for you. Might even have a couple suggestions for colors that some of my customers use on the TN River.

    Thanks

BTW I'm still using the original rig I bought from you. I can't even begin to tell you how many fish I've caught or how many times I jerked it outta rocks with 65 lb braid and still going strong

Re: Apparently Pickwick is on FIRE (Kittycat2008)

Not bragging but have been told by several people that have bought and used several different brands. Most like mine because it is more compact than a lot of the others out on the market. Cast a little easier they tell me. I also use a pretty stiff wire (045) along with some hvy duty swivels. With the head on mine being lead, helps to get it down in the water column without having to use a lot of weight on the jig heads. Have some guys tell me they have no problem getting and keeping it down in 20' to 30' of water and catching fish on them that deep.

Has been a pretty wild little run so far with these rigs. Have sold close to 2000 of them and that count is still climbing. I am in 2 stores with them and hearing I will be in another 3 or 4 of the Sportsman's Warehouse stores in the next couple weeks. Once I get this going, will slowly start putting some of my other product in these stores.

    Thanks Again

We had a 26.4 and got third it is crazy. I know for a fact they were not all caught on the rig. It is a great fishery just hope it holds up to the pressure.
