    1993 VE150ELETG Multiple Issues

I am seeing fuel leak in the VRO Area. There is a valve with a Red (cracked) plastic collar, (similar to tire airstem valve) the leaks fuel when I push in the key to fire the motor. I have not noticed it leaking any other time while on the hose. Strong smell of fuel and a small gas/oil slick at shutdown, in the water is what sent me looking.

The motor also has a hard time with maintaining a solid idle at slow cruise speeds and I dropped from 5200 to 4900 on the top end. Motor runs good-- ie no stumbles stalls etc at WOT.

All related or two problems here? Reeds and VRO bad ? Any Rebuild kits worth looking at or used parts to think about, or should I go new.

Motor has a Spit Fire on the Cowl does this mean anything to anybody? I've heard it is similar to todays H.O. any truth to that?

Not uncommon for the valve to split on the side you'll need part number 017158 @ $6.50. May as well get the new cap and gasket too. Your local BRP dealer should have them in stock. As far as loosing some RPM in the summer pretty normal to loose a few hundred RPM.
