well we caught 27 but it was slow. we got there around 6 and fished til 3:30. i tried a lot of new spots early on with no luck or none to mention anyways. then i went to some of my regulars spots and caught enough to make the trip worth while. my brother caught his first good smallie that weighed 3 to 3 1/2 lbs and i had one other 3 lb largemouth and that was our best 2. we would have had 14 or so with our best 5. the other three were 2 1/2 or so each. caught a few on topwater early but we missed the best 30 or 45 min of topwater action due to my brother over sleeping. caught all the rest but maybe five on plastics.
