1998 evinrude 150 ficht serial E150ILECR,there is a sticker on the back of the motor that say's upgrade kit 5000542 use 5000322 spark plugs,what is this upgrade also how can i be sure this is a 1998 power head,there is a tag on the motor the say's 187251 150 powerhead,i was told all updates were done on the motor but the heads are not pinned,also my spark plugs are ngk pzfr5f are these the right plugs,thanks

A 1997 or 1998 FICHT has injectors that screw into the cylinderheads and have a very large locknut around them. The 1999 injectors have an oval flange with 2 bolts holding them to the heads. In addtion the '99's have a water cooled smooth ECU compared to the finned air-cooled ECU from the earlier models.
Look at the sparkplug indexing article in ONE STOP SHOPPING and there are pictures of the updated pinned cylinder heads and a sparkplug chart.
