I guarantee both of you are right. That is what happens to our state lakes once they get good. Every person who can drown a minnow comes to them and hauls all of the big females out. I wish Mississippi would start a share a lunker program like they do in Texas.

+1 but I don't think it would do any good. Most would still keep them.
The state lakes, are great fisheries, but could be so much better if they would do something about this. I have no problem with people keeping fish, it needs to and has to be done. But why would you keep a fish that size. It just doesn't make any sense.
