He'll probably go back to the NFL.

I don't think it will matter who the next coach is they are going to have a hard time getting top prospects to visit.

I hate it, but it seems that that was the only way to get rid of Woody...

That's a joke...I bet he is already on the board at TN. Ya know MD, that name never entered my mind...something to think about for sure.

Johnny, I just hope they don't try and go after Tyrone Nix....I like him where he is at.

They could get the money if they wanted too. Trust me. I've been told Chris Peterson at Boise State is at the top of the list to be the first one contacted and also Derrick Dooley from LA Tech has been mentioned. I'm not getting this from no internet board either. The boards already have Fulmer, Bowden, Jeff Bower, Gary Crowton, and several others already hired.

Venables could be on the short list too...

About a month ago a friend and I were discussing Bower... not a bad deal there.. I don't think you could get Bowden to come here.

Seriously doubt they would go after Nix. You gotta feel they are looking at an offensive minded coach.

    Re: Job opening (mercboy175)

Mercboy is correct. Money will not be an issue this time around. Peterson and Dooley are probably on the list along with Bowden.

Fulmer-doubt it. He wanted to take a year off and he wasn't much without Cutcliffe

Tuberville- although he would have a lot of passion in beating the Rebels-I think the first tour of duty in Mississippi was enough for him.
