    Need some line advice

I plan on using a braid /fluoro combo on my spinning rod/reel for smallies on St Clair. will be using it for tubes primarily. Looking for distance , sensitivity, lack of sight for fish. any suggestions on braid type and weight. I would like to try seguar but not sure of type and weight.... thanks Joe

well, i don't use braid except for frog fishing, but on LSC for tubes it's 6lb flouro all the way.

Thanks Bob for the response . So if I go to just Fluoro what brand should I go with? I have always used pline or bps excel but not bought braid or flouro yet. Thanks again Joe G

BPS makes an excel braid that I have used with great success. I used to use PowerPro but have switched over to Excel Braid.

I also use the BPS Signature Series flouro. Talked to VanDam this past spring about the new flouro....he said he likes it. Its all made by Toray.

I've been happy with 8lb Seagur Invis-X knotted onto BPS Excel braid. I never thought about trying 6lb test. I will have to give it a shot.

LSC 6lb for spinning gear and 8lb for crankbaits just make sure your drag settings are set for the light line

Seaguar InvisX fluoro is some good stuff but is a little bit pricy. I also have heard the Seaguar Carbon Pro was good too but they discontinued that, prolly so people will spend a little more money and buy the InvisX but if you can find the Carbon Pro I have heard good things.

I use 10 pound power pro braid and BPS XPS Flouro in anywhere from 6-10 lb depending on conditions....

I have really struggled using straight Flouro on Spinning gear...I have tried everything and multiple brands and just can't seem to work through the line twist..

I bought some Spider wire Flourobraid to try in 15lb test....It is suppose to sink...I read a review that said the 10lb was breaking so I thought I would give the 15lb a try...The Diameter is about the same as 8lb flouro...
