    bass clubs and how to start in tourneys

    hey fellas if u guys could help me it would be much appreciated, i am 16 years old i have full access to a triton tr21 and truck, all i do is think about fishing and fish and then some, anyway i realllly want to get involved with tournament fishing for money and i have the skills to do it. could u guys give me ur ideas on how to get started, if i need to join some clubs and how to join and how to get into tournament fishing, thankyou and please give me ur advice thankyou

    I would suggest that you check out the TBF and BASS Jr state championship tournaments...A few kids from Michigan from that series are now fishing multiple college level championship series...If you are interested in something like that let me know and I can put you in touch with Brian who runs the Jr programs for the TBF...He also has a Jr Club that he supervises....I am pretty sure his place is in Oakland county so it wouldn't be far for you to travel...You don't need a boat..

    As far as fishing for money.....I would highly suggest that you try fishing the FLW/BFL series as a co-angler for a few years before you jump in with a boat...You will learn more there in one tournament with the right guy than you will learn in a year on your own...Cost for that tournament series is around 100 bucks per tourney plus you have to give gas money to the boater....
