Well for being April we had a great catch today. 2 largemouth the biggest 20 inches. 5 smallies the biggest at 22 and the second biggest at 20 inches, and go figure a lake trout at 30 inches. It just doesn't get any better than that....![]()

Best be careful, just heard a guy on Lake Ponemah got hit for poaching bass... They ticketed him AND took his fishing license, he has to go to court to determine if he will EVER be eligible for hunting/fishing licenses again!
Anything I catch goes right back in the drink unless its in season...
I wouldn't post on a forum that you are targeting Bass.....You may want to lead in with you were out Crappie fishing...![]()
Get down to the river and catch some of those Walleyes...From what I hear things are starting to roll pretty well....

Let me clarify myself, I actually went out to see if I could catch some of the lakers that are on the drop offs right now. Yes you can keep 3 over 15 inches per day all year long. they are hanging around the same places that the bass feeding on bait. I'm using small to mediums sized jerks to catch them.
I have never caught a Lake Trout....Wish I had the time to fish for more species..We are lucky in Michigan to have a ton of opportunities....

They stock the lake I live on so I am very fortunate to have caught them in the past. The fight is similar to a smallie times 10 if you can imagine that.
