    Tournament Circuits

What tournament circuits do you guys know of that are pretty big around the SouthWestern area? I plan on entering the BBT tournaments, and maybe a CATT, but what weekend style tournaments are there where you don't have to pre-pay or be a member or sign up a year in advance or give away your first born?

check out http://www.greatlakesbass.com they have a pretty detailed tourney section, also check out http://www.royrandolph.com/fishing/opens.htm this is a list of tourneys that are around, some open and some not, but the larger ones are listed, as well as the open tourneys which are what my partner and I are fishing this year exclusively.

JVD, as in KVD's brother, cousin, what? I'll be looking for ya, not that many new Tritons on the water I am sure. Actually not too sure if I like the lakes BBT fishes or not. Don't get to fish them. I live in Coloma, so it is a good haul from here to go, so it's a rarity. Did fish Muskegon twice last year, on the worst days in the wrld I think. Thunderstorms and 4' swells make for hard fishing, let me tell you. Would be interested in maybe fishing with some of you guys sometime though. Not neccessarily tourney lakes, because I know how us fisherman are about giving out secrets. Just for fun and to learn a little. '06 was my first year with a boat, and 1st year on the water also for that matter. Need all the help I can get!

Yeah i know what you mean the last time i fished muskegon it was september and rain and cold and wind but we wacked them drop shotting. White lake and muskegon are very similar and fish the same in many ways. The Grand River is probably the toughest of the tournys and most of the people will run to white or muskegon but if you can pattern the fish there are some hogs in the river but they are few and far between. But last year was my first year eligible to fish witout my dad because i turned 18 but i had previous experience fishing the lakes. The good thing about those lakes is you can catch them how you want deep shallow you name it. But the Bass Anglers United trial has different devisions that fish all over the state but there are only two tournys in a devision and it makes it easier to qualify for the classic and a chance at a new triton and a trip to fish with the pros as a co-angler. O and yes i am KVDs nephew but ill be looking for ya this year.

Already have a tourney that weekend, or I would definitely go. Maybe swing up there afterwards, though probably not. I'll meet up with a few of you I am sure through the BBT tourneys, maybe some other ones I may fish.

    Re: Tournament Circuits (champion221elite)

Hey 1Javelin, if you ever need any pointers on Muskegon or White, give me a shout. I fish NBAA tournaments there every other week and also on weekends. My brother and I also hit a couple of the BBT tournaments. The Bass anglers united are having Two seperate divisions this year on Muskegon.
