Had a club tourney at Taylorville on Sunday. Hot, windy and crappy.
Everytime we visit that lake its tough... surely there is more than 10 fish over 15" in that lake. I got plenty of shorts, no keepers.![]()

You know I have the same feelings about that lake. The one time I tried it can't catch anything but shorts, and then there are some of my buddies that love it. They can go over there and get keeper after keeper. We have never held a Tx' there but some of them keep trying to push for one to be held there.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.
Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.
Anybody that can catch keeper after keeper at that lake should be fishing the elites.
I was getting gas at a station in Taylorville and a guy with a nice skeeter pulls up... I ask him if he likes fishing for bass on Taylorville. His answer was nope, but its a hell of a catfish lake and that he prefers driving to Shelbyville to fish. LMAO, anybody that lives 5 miles from a lake and drives to Shelbyville of all places must hate that lake.![]()
Thats how i think about clinton though i dont live near it.

We had a Club tournament down there a few years ago and didn't weigh in any fish. 9 boats 18 angler = ZERO fish!!! We caught 5 dinks all day. It was a very tough day.
