Not really. I stayed in Effingham when I went a few years ago. On yahoo, they have one Motel for Newton, check this out. http://maps.yahoo.com/index.ph...62448
Water temps were in the low to mid 50's on the warm water side when I went.
There is a hotel in Newton called the River Park Inn.
Not a Hilton but would be the closest to the water.
Water temp all depends on power plant out put,current = warmer hungry fish

Stayed in Effingham when we went last Spring. I believe it was a Comfort Inn and it was around $80. Rooms were "roomie" and had a nice breakfast. Plenty of parking as well. About a 25min drive to the ramp.
