North Georgia Fishing Request
My name is Richard Thom and I am a doctorate of physical therapy student at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia. I joined this forum because I am going to be in north Georgia for 8 weeks starting on April 26th for clinicals. I would like to get out and fish some while I am in Georgia if someone would be willing to take out a fellow fisherman.
I grew up near Gainesville, fishing Lake Lanier with my dad. I grew up bass fishing and have been fly-fishing for trout the past 2 years. I have the trout bug right now and have been fishing local rivers and streams here in Virginia for the past few weeks.
I am 27 years old and married. I am an easygoing guy, easy to get along with, and will not be a burden to anyone. I have my own tackle and equipment and plan on purchasing an out of state license once I get back home just south of Lumpkin County in Murrayville. As a full-time grad student, my wife and I live off one income and don’t have much money. But I understand the expenses of fishing (gas for driving or for boat, fly’s, or preferred lures or bait) and am willing to pay my portion of any trip as long as it is not too expensive. Please take this into consideration and understand that I am not asking for a guided fishing experience.
My email is rthompt@gmail.com. Please email me if you are available to go fishing or reply to post. I will only be able to go out Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday as of now since I will be in the clinic during the days of the week.
Thanks for your consideration. Have a good day.
