    Re: Clarks Hill (TR21ken)

There are quite a few here that are fishing it. I know Ferris (Hardcore) is fishing it and a couple of others. Ferris' group is staying at Soap Creek as well on my recommendation. Nice setup there and not far from the ramps...

Have you tried the SC forum??

I will be there this weekend as well at the lake prefishing for my clubs tx Oct 16 & 17. I will be in a rental house though near Wildwood. Had originally wanted to practice next weekend, but agree will not want to be on the lake 8 & 9.

Billy I know Cooper River has there club tourney there this weekend thats why they are getting there early so you might be able to see Ferris and Jason. We will be up some on Sunday and the rest on Monday night. We are bringing 2 teams to fish. Good luck to all fishing the 6 man.

The water temp is in the mid 70's now we are suppose to be some really cool nights early in next week, I would expect water temps in the low 70's for the next week or so and yes there are some echooling fish early in the mornings sometimes until linch but they haven't had alot of size.

    Re: Clarks Hill (Nitro 750)

Still tough but 10 lb sacks starting to win some club tx's.
Try some small buzzbaits and floating worms around shoreline grass.

    Re: Clarks Hill (PeanutMan)

I just returned from a three day trip there and it was tough for us.. Fished this lake for the first time and this may have lead to some of our issues. However, we fished the hell out of Cherokee and Little River area along with the areas up by Keg Creek.. Spent a lot of time fishing Hydrilla (there's a lot of this!!) and also focused on deep underwater points and shoal areas. Used rattle traps, CR, topwater, SB and floating worms.. in the end we caught about 10lbs total... Still had a blast and the weather was perfect..

If you got any suggestion it would be appreciated as I am heading back down next month..

    Re: Clarks Hill (Bassin Billy)

Sure was... and I might be stretching that some.. I was perplexed a little as we tried several good tactics that should have paid higher dividends this time of year..
