if your talking about the bulb coming from the vro oil tank, i think it should stay hard all the time if working correctly.
i've had my boat for almost a year and have never had that bulb go soft.

The reason is that there is always some air or gas fumes in the fuel line, whereas the oil line is completely filled with oil, you prime it before you start running. Gas fumes compress a lot easier that oil![]()
